What stud widths and thicknesses does Birak supply?
We supply the full Rondo drywall framing range: 51mm, 64mm, 76mm, 92mm, and 150mm studs with matching tracks, in 0.50, 0.55, 0.70, 0.75, 1.15, and 1.90bmt. Standard lengths run from 2.4m to 7.2m. Noggings, flexible track, angles, and joiners complete the system.
What does bmt mean?
bmt stands for base metal thickness. It is the thickness of the steel before coating, and it is the number that matters for strength and for fire and acoustic system compliance. Wall height, stud spacing, and lining weight determine the bmt you need. Rondo publishes limiting height tables for each stud and bmt combination.
When do I need deflection head track?
Use deflection head track where the structure above a wall can move, such as a concrete slab that deflects under load. The deep-leg track lets the slab move without loading the studs, which protects the wall's fire and acoustic ratings. We supply deflection head tracks in standard and flexible profiles across the common stud widths.
What is flexible track used for?
Flexible track has a segmented flange that curves in plan, so you can set out curved walls and bulkheads without cutting standard track. We stock it in common widths, including deflection head versions.
