Each set is pre-cut and primed for direct installation around standard internal door openings, saving site time compared to ripping and machining jamb stock from sheet. Combined with our EziMDF architraves, the door surround can be sourced as a complete pre-primed package on a single PO.

MDF mouldings vs solid timber — which to use?

Pre-primed MDF mouldings give a uniform, knot-free, paint-ready surface with no grain telegraphing through finish coats — ideal for modern painted interiors. Solid timber mouldings (typically dressed pine or hardwood) suit clear-finished or stained applications where natural grain is desired.
