HardieFlex
James Hardie's flat fibre-cement sheet, used for eaves, soffits, internal linings, and as a non-combustible substrate for cladding and ceilings.
A flat fibre-cement sheet manufactured by James Hardie, used widely as eaves and soffit lining, internal wet-area lining, garage ceilings, and a substrate for finishes such as render or tiles. HardieFlex is non-combustible, resistant to permanent water damage, termites, and rot, and is supplied in standard sheet sizes (typically 2400 to 3600 mm long, 900 or 1200 mm wide) in thicknesses from 4.5 mm to 9 mm. The sheets can be scored and snapped, sawn with a fibre-cement blade, and fixed with galvanised or stainless screws or nails. For buyers, HardieFlex is non-structural and cannot replace a structural lining or bracing panel without engineer specification. Always cut outdoors or with dust extraction to manage respirable crystalline silica exposure under workplace safety regulations.
